Last month my team of fugitive hunters were asked to work on a cold case that was getting new interest. It appears that one of the suspects was recently arrested and an informant in the jail mentioned something pertaining to this case. Heading over to the jail would not yield any results, it would most likely have the suspect go completely quiet on the subject.
My team was aware this particular jail has recently be outfitted with a call monitoring system from Securus Technologies. He was concerned we may be on to new evidence, which we weren’t, but after tailing his sister, we discovered what he was trying to keep from us. That evidence was confiscated and helped us to reopen the cold case and keep this suspect in his jail cell awaiting a new trial.
